Location: Strandgården, Ellös
The food and facility management belongs to the community development sector and consists of four geographical areas with a total of about 70 employees. We are now looking for an innovative chef for our production kitchen at Strandgården in Ellös.
You will be part of a team of six people.
Through our work, we ensure that the municipality's special accommodations, schools, and preschools enjoy good and nutritious food. We actively work with digitalization and increasing our share of organic food, which currently stands at 60%. In 2022, Orust municipality was named the leading municipality of the year by Ekomatscentrum, and we also received Orust municipality's quality award for our work in digitalizing self-control.
Your tasks
Do you want to help create meals that make a difference every day?
The work as a chef involves handling all kitchen tasks such as cooking, preparation and planning of special diets, baking, vegetable preparation, self-control, receiving goods, dishwashing, and cleaning. The kitchen staff in Ellös also staff the school kitchen and dispatches to it and to the preschool. In case of absence at another unit, the work may require you to be at another workplace. Rotation and a flexible working method are part of the daily work.
We want to spread both joy in food and knowledge about good and sustainable meals, which requires a high level of service.
About you
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about cooking and wants to help create good, nutritious meals for our guests.
- You thrive in an environment where you can take responsibility, plan together with your colleagues, and contribute to a positive atmosphere in the kitchen.
- You have education in the restaurant and food program or equivalent that the employer assesses as equivalent is a requirement.
- You have documented knowledge of special diets and allergens.
- You have good knowledge of self-control.
- You are a collaborative team player with a sense of service, commitment, and quality awareness.
- You have a high level of service and a good attitude towards customers, colleagues, and you collaborate with everyone to achieve our goals.
- You find it easy to adapt your working methods based on changing conditions.
Since administrative tasks are also included, you need to have good computer skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
We place great importance on personal qualities.

Working hours/duration: Full-time, permanent.
Salary: Individual salary setting.
Start date: By agreement.
